    1. Brazil’s monarchy was abolished in 1889. There are two branches of the defunct Brazilian monarchy, Vassouras & Petrópolis. They both dispute that they have a claim to the Brazilian throne. So I have included them both on the list, although I only have an address for one of them.

  3. Good day!

I am a large fan of your blog and find it inspiring and I believe it is time to give something back. If you have any interest in writing to former royals, I can confirm that Tsar Simeon II of Bulgaria will reply. (I believe he may even have been the recipient of a handwritten response). He can be reached at:

    Vrana
    Tzarigradsko Shose Blvd., 9 KM
    1186 Sofia
    Bulgaria.

I am writing to a number of formerly reigning houses this year, I will update if there is any interest.

    Best wishes!
    C.

I'm not sure if you send a letter there, if it will get to the Duke and Duchess, but it's better than nothing.

    1. I haven't been able to find a address for Marie-Astrid. But as she is the Grand Duke of Luxembourg's sister, You could probably just send your letter to Luxembourg and they can forward it for you.

  7. I've written twice to Romania: once for King Michael's birthday (no reply) and once to Crown Princess Margareta to express my condolences on the death of Queen Anne (bilingual printed card sent in reply). I wrote to King Constantine of Greece, Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia and Prince Carlo of Bourbon-Two Sicilies for their birthdays in years past but got nothing back.

    1. I've never gotten a reply from any of the former monarchies, although I haven't written that many letters. I did write to King Micheal after the death of Queen Anne, and didn't get any reply, so at least you did better than I did on that.

    8. A little practical advice for when you're searching for addresses on your own.

      1. Go to their Wikipedia Page (or whoever is head of the Royal Family)
      2. Scroll down to the bottom, after "References" is "External links"
      3. They often have an official website listed there.
      4. Go to the Official Website
      5. Look for a "Contact" page
      6. Sometimes they have an address there. (I would be weary of anything address for a Business or a Foundation)

    9. Deeply Appreciated! Thank You!
