Yes they could. They have the Charities Forum meeting twice a year, but only once so far has it been after a event. The 2 events are necessarily the same group of people. So it's just as likely that the Bi-annual meeting will happen a different day, especially if The royals have to get ready for Royal Film Premire.

The GertsRoyalsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5349278938212264028.post-4881525507022915322015-10-13T22:19:36.926-04:002015-10-13T22:19:36.926-04:00aren't they attended a meeting/'reception ...aren't they attended a meeting/'reception for the charity forum after the Warner Bros studio visit back in 2013. I know the meetings are quite similar and the topics discussed as well, but this meeting with 2 different groups, so i consider it separate. Maybe private was the wrong term to use, but basically they met with the historian before/after the ceremonies, so in other words were a part of the individual commemorations. Personally, following the commemorations closely, every single one of them was very different and therefor is to be treated individually as seperate engagements, just as the palace did. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5349278938212264028.post-64936165145519637972015-05-12T21:14:22.419-04:002015-05-12T21:14:22.419-04:00I think they definitely should be compared, anothe...I think they definitely should be compared, another example is William is going to 2 meetings for United for Wildlife in Switzerland on the 18th. Just because he will be attending two meetings doesn't means this should be counted as 2 separate engagements, the meetings which are for the same organization for the same cause on the same day.

You called the Gallipoli ceremonies individual events which I would agree, but that doesn't make it separate engagements. It is not uncommon at all for Royals to meet multiple organizations/causes, or different groups of people at engagements.

Their meetings with Dr. Glyn Prysor, weren't private at all, When Prince Charles and Harry arrived at a number of the memorials for the commemorations, Dr. Prysor was on hand to tell them the history of memorial and location, When they walked through the cemetery that was not private as well, all the worlds media was there. You can't dis-include what happens before/after the ceremonies, because that is all equally apart of the commemorations and remembering off all the lives that were lost. Their meetings with the historian were private ones or after/before the commemorations.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5349278938212264028.post-22514815923333697672015-05-11T18:50:26.172-04:002015-05-11T18:50:26.172-04:00There is always that question of how do you count ...There is always that question of how do you count engagements, especially multiple things with the same origination on the same day.

Do you separate things like Harry's Feb 3rd visit to Full Effect which he did a number of things including meeting the cast and crew of Guillemot and then attending the Premiere of the Film Guillemot, which was put on by Full Effect? Do you count that as one or two engagements, since it is the same organization at two different locations on the same day.....

If you counted it as two then you would also have to count Harry's visit to Northumberland Wildlife Trust's Red Squirrels project on Feb 25th as 2 engagements as well, since he visited their headquarters and then traveled to the forest to look for squirrels.

My policy is if it is with the same organization, dealing with the same issues or cause, even if it is at two locations, I count it as one engagement.

Gallipoli engagements did give me pause, because I did want to recognize all the different services, but I thinking it is important to

1. stay consistent

2. How would one break it down? You have each individual service, but what about what happens in-between that, is Harry and Charles meeting with Historian Dr Glyn Prysor and learning about the different historical sites an engagement in itself, is them walking through the cemetery apart of the service, etc....
