Congratulate Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel on the announcement of their 2nd child

We were so very excited to hear today's announcement from the Swedish Palace. We have hear rumors for week, knew better than to believe them, but hoped and prayed for something many people didn't think was going to happen.

TRH Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden are expecting their 2nd child!!!

If you are as excited about the news as us, you probably want to send them a letter or card to congratulate them. The address is:

Crown Princess Couple
Kungl. Slottet
SE-107 70  Stockholm

The birth is expected to take place in March of 2016. He or She will become 3rd in line to the Swedish throne, regardless of gender. The Crown Princess Couple married five years ago and have a three year old daughter, Princess Estelle.

When Victoria's sister Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill announced they were expecting another child in December, I wrote to congratulate the couple. I received a very lovely letter in reply with a picture of the family. You can see it here.

Feel free to type or hand write your letter or card. You don't need to write something long and elaborate. A few carefully chosen words or lines can go a long way. The best letters and cards are always the most personal ones. If you have trouble getting your thoughts out on paper, try writing a poem or drawing a picture. Poems and drawings can often create the most heartfelt and touching notes.

If you prefer to send a pre-made card, be sure to write a little note inside yourself. This will make the pre-made card more personal.

Basic Information of Writing to the Royals.

  1. I already wrote the letter :D Did you write for Charlotte christening?

    1. Yes I did. I haven't gotten a response yet. It will be a while still.

The Correspondence Section at Clarence House was on Holiday for most of August, so they are a little behind. They have to mail out the responses for Prince William's birthday 1st before they will get to Charlotte's Christening. Then Prince George's birthday.

  2. I think that's something wrong. I sent a letter about six months ago and hadn't got a reply. I even left a message at the Palace's official page to congratulate on Crown Princess Victoria's birthday and other couple of times, but nothing.

We are all waiting for letters from the Swedish Royals. Most of the royals take most of the summer off, as do their staff, so things get slow and sending out letters to Well Wishers isn't the 1st priority. We have seen very slow response rates from a number of royal families this summer.
I wrote to the Swedish Royals for Carl Phillip's wedding, and events since, and am still waiting for a reply. I’ve only written to the Swedish Royals once previously, for the announcement of Princess Madeleine’s 2nd pregnancy back in January and received a reply 2 and a half months latter. 6 Months is definitely a very long time to wait, but as we are 3 and half months since Carl Phillip's wedding and still no reply, I’m thinking there is still a chance for you.
I could be wrong, but it’s my opinion that they are just behind, and are very busy with things that take a higher priority. Hopefully we will all get replies soon.

I have no idea how messages on the Swedish Palace official page work. It might be that they don't typically send replies for Well Wishes, Congratulations, Happy Birthday, since there are bound to be to way to many. And they do usually release a statement thanking everyone for well wishes. It could be they only respond to questions, requests for information, etc.
They also state on the page that: “During the summer we will have limited ability to respond to e-mails.”
