They do however attend the occasional official engagement and do work for various charities and organizations. They also hold a number of patronages.
This is a list of the Official Engagements Peter, Zara, Beatrice, Eugenie, Louise, & James attend (e.g. Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral). This list also includes events they attend as a member of the Royal Family or as Patron of the organization.
We try not to include charity work that related to their job or events they attend in a private capacity, except when they are "official engagements". But it is hard to draw a line between what should be included, and what should not. Also, things aren't widely publicized so, undoubtedly, we will miss some things.

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall attended the Pacific Fair Magic Million Polo, in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia on 7 January, and Princess Eugenie attended the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate festival, Kenilworth Racecourse, Cape Town, South Africa and presented the LQP 2017 on 6 & 7 January.
ReplyDeleteZara and Mike didn't attend on the 7th, because the Pacific Fair Magic Million Polo didn't start till the 8th.
DeleteAnd Princess Eugenie only attended the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate on the 7th. We've been a bit conflicted about including the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate festival. This isn't a list of everything they do in 2017, just "official" things: an actual official engagement/ royal event, supporting their patronage, or officially representing the Royal Family.
If it were just a horse race she attended, we wouldn't include it. But obviously presenting the trophy makes it more official. This seemed a bit more like a social outing than an official one. This event is attended annual by Eugenie's circle of friends.
Thank you - the information is gleaned from various sources and sometimes the dates are hard to find.
DeleteSo far in January the events they have attended are (of course not all of which will be included), as far as I can ascertain:
ReplyDelete5 January - Princess Beatrice of York attended the Popsugar Master Storytellers Dinner at CES2017, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
7 January - Princess Eugenie of York attended the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate festival, Kenilworth Racecourse, Cape Town, South Africa and presented the LQP 2017
8 January - The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended Divine Worship at St Mary’s Church, Sandringham
9 January - Prince Harry joined the Endeavour Fund Awards Ceremony Judging Panel at Kensington Palace
9 January - Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall attended the Pacific Fair Magic Million Polo, in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
10 January - The Duke of Cambridge visited Centrepoint Ealing, Northolt
10 January - Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall attended the Magic Millions launch party in Surfer’s Paradise, Gold Coast, Australia
11 January - The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Anna Freud Early Years Parenting Unit, Mayton Street, London N7
11 January - The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a Child Bereavement UK Centre at the Stratford Advice Centre, The Grove, London E15
11 January - Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall attended the Magic Millions Barrier Draw in Surfer’s Paradise, Gold Coast
12 January - Princess Eugenie, accompanied by Jack Broocksbank, attend the launch of Bunga Bunga in Covent Garden, London WC2
William, Kate and Harry each have their own list of official engagement, so they aren't including here. But besides attending church, those events are covered there. As for Beatrice and Eugenie's events they weren't really attending those parties in an official capacity as Patron or as a member of the Royal Family. But we are adding Princess Eugenie in South Africa for the cup, because it does seem from our research that she was there in an official capacity.
DeletePrincess Beatrice attended the World Economic Forum, in Davos, Switzerland - https://hrhprincessbeatriceblog.wordpress.com/2017/01/20/princess-beatrice-attended-world-economic-forum-2017/
ReplyDeleteYep, she was there. Not really an official engagement. Although the name certainly sounds very serious. The WEF can be a bit of a party scene. We don't really know what Beatrice was doing to over there. If she was just there to listen to some of the lectures, and mingle with celebrities and hit the party scene, that's not an official engagement. She wasn't there in any official capacity.
DeleteI was wondering, do we really know if Eugenie attended either auction. I mean unless I am missing something no pictures of her there, and concerning the viewing, she was in Jamaica at the Tom Inskip wedding around the same time.
ReplyDeleteFor: April 4-13 this was an online Auction, so obviously she couldn't attend. We just have it listed so people know when it is, because she's patron of the auction. Things in () are engagements, and aren't counted, there are just thing we think are important to mention.
DeleteFor March 3rd, I was concerned about this as well. I had it on here, because she was on the guest list that the Charity released ahead of time. So obviously if they said she was attending, I didn't see any reason to doubt otherwise.
But at taking a closer look at the event, no she wasn't here. She did however write a letter for the events program. So thanks for pointing that out.
Princess Beatrice attended the Kairos Global Summit on April 21,2017
ReplyDeletehttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-4433892/Princess-Beatrice-cuts-elegant-figure-mini-dress.html
We did not include the Kairos Global Summit as this was a work thing for Beatrice. We don't generally include things that relate to the person's job.
