Nobel Prize Laureates (2021)

The 2021 Nobel Laureates were announced October 4th - 11th.

Physiology or Medicine
Awarded to David Julius (1/2) and Ardem Patapoutian (1/2) "for their discoveries of receptors for temperature and touch."
The Prize is awarded by the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institute.

Physics
Awarded to Syukuro Manabe (1/4) & Klaus Hasselmann (1/4) “for the physical modelling of Earth’s climate, quantifying variability and reliably predicting global warming” and Giorgio Parisi of Italy (1/2) “for the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales.”
The Prize is awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

Chemistry
Awarded to Benjamin List (1/2) and David MacMillan (1/2) “for the development of asymmetric organocatalysis.”
The Prize is awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

Literature  
Awarded to Abdulrazak Gurnah (1/1) “for his uncompromising and compassionate penetration of the effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee in the gulf between cultures and continents”
The Prize is awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

Peace 
Awarded to Maria Ressa (1/2) and Dmitry Andreyevich Muratov (1/2) “for their efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, which is a precondition for democracy and lasting peace”
The Prize is awarded by the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

Economic Sciences
Awarded to David Card (1/2) “for his empirical contributions to labour economics” and Joshua D. Angrist and Guido W. Imbens “for their methodological contributions to the analysis of causal relationships”The Prize is awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
