Each year, shortly before Christmas, the Monaco Royals hold a party for children from Monaco. (This event is usually held on a Wednesday, mid-late December.) During the party, the Royals distribute gifts to the children, are entertained by various acts and get to enjoy cookies and the Palace's famous Hot Chocolate.
The Party is open to children living in Monaco ages 5-12. In order to attend the event, you must register with the palace in Late November.
The Christmas party was first introduced by Princess Grace and her husband Prince Rainier in the late 1950s.
