Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan will pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th June 2024. The couple will not be staying at Buckingham Palace during their visit due to ongoing renovations.
Saturday 22nd June (Pre-State Visit)
- Arrive privately in the United Kingdom at Stansted Airport.

- The Emperor will visit St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, to lay a wreath on the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II, in the King George VI Chapel.
- The Emperor will tour the historic Temperate House at the Royal Botanic Gardens
Friday 28th (Post-State Visit)
- Visit Oxford University for a private programme of engagements
- Depart at RAF Brize Norton, seen off by Lord Chamberlain
