Duchess of Cornwall Official Engagements 2015: October - End of Year


I decided I wanted to start keeping track of Camilla's engagements for 2016. And instead of waiting till January, why not finish up 2015.

Tuesday  13th 

  • Attend a pre-dinner reception and dinner for Man Booker Prize 2015
(Wednesday 14th: Statement published in Daily Mail about her personal crusade against rape & sexual assault)

Wednesday 14th: 

  • Visited the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre, Rape Crisis South London,  to mark its Thirtieth Anniversary.
  • Visited the Nelsons Manufacturing Facility to learn about their initiative to support the victims of rape and sexual abuse
    • Met volunteers
  • Visited the Haven (Whitechapel) Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
Thursday  15th 
Tuesday 20th
  • Greet President Xi and Madame Peng at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel  travel with them to Horse Guards Parade, where the President will receive a ceremonial welcome.
  • Tea with President Xi and Madame Peng at Clarence House. 
Wednesday  21st 
  • Attend a horse whispering demonstration by Brooke Hospital for Animals Global Ambassador Monty Roberts at the Royal Mews, before attending a reception.
    • With the Queen. 
  • Attend a reception hosted by Gyles Brandreth, President of The Oscar Wilde Society, to mark the anniversary of the author's birth.

  • Public walk near the 'Bowl' and Zoo
  • Visit to Len Lye Centre
  • Pukekura Park Fernery visit
Tuesday 10th
  • Visit the Spirit of New Zealand in Auckland Viaduct

  • Attended a Meeting at Government House, Adelaide, with organisations working to address domestic violence.

Wednesday 11th Canberra  Remembrance Day

  • Attend the National Remembrance Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial
Thursday 12th Sydney

  • Visited the New South Wales Mounted Police Unit.
  • Visited OzHarvest
  • Visited the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police at Victoria Barracks
  • Attended a Reception at Government House given by General the Hon. David Hurley (Governor of New South Wales).
  •  Attended a Dinner given by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and Lady Cosgrove at Admiralty House.

Saturday 14th Albany and Perth - Prince Charles Birthday

  • Visited Oranje Tractor Wines.
  • Visited Albany Agricultural Show and the National Anzac Centre
  • Attended a Reception given by the Hon. Kerry Sanderson (Governor of Western Australia) at the Cottesloe Civic Centre.

Sunday 15th Perth

  • Attended Choral Matins in St. George's Cathedral, Perth
  • Visited Kings Park
  • Attended a Reception given by the Governor of Western Australia at Government House
  • Visited the State Library of Western Australia
Sunday 22nd 
  •  Opened the new Village Hall in Stourpaine, Dorset
    Commonwealth Heads Of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Malta: 27-28th 

    Thursday 26th

    • Visit Mdina Glass in Ta'Qali.
    • Attend reception, hosted by the Queen, for the People of Malta in the gardens of San Anton Palace.

    Friday 27th
    • Attend the opening ceremony of the 24th CHOGM at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.
      • With Queen, Phillip, & Charles
    • Visit the "Read With Me" literacy programme at St Thomas More College Primary School, Zejtun
    • Attended a Reception for veterans, sea scouts and Armed Forces personnel, given by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta 
    • Attend the traditional CHOGM dinner at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard.
