Princess Brigitte of Sweden passed away today at age 87. She passed away in Spain, on the island of Mallorca where she lived.
Princess Birgitta Ingeborg Alice was the older sister of King Carl Gustaf. She was married to Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern (1932–2016) and had three children and a number of grandchildren.

Funeral & burial
- Sunday Dec 15th
- Funeral at Drottingholm Palace Chapel attended by family, friends and special guests.
- Burial at the Royal Cemetery at Hagaparken.
- Seraphim ring at Riddarholm Church (Noon-1 PM)
- Book of condolence at Stockholm Castle 10AM to 1 PM, and Riddarholm church Noon- 1 PM on the day of the funeral.
- Monday Dec 16th
- The Royal Cemetery at Hagaparken will be open from 11 AM to 2 PM for those who wish to visit Princess Birgitta's grave.
