Forward Trust is a UK Addiction charity. The charity has treatment and rehabilitation facilities across England, and also provides support to individuals, the families and children of those with addiction.  Forward Trust also does work in the area of prevention, education, research, workforce development, and advocacy. 

Kate was previously patron of Action on Addiction, which merged with Forward Trust in 2021. Action on Addiction was one of Kate's first patronages. 

Action on Addiction was itself formed in 2007, with the merger of three addiction charities: Action on Addiction, the Chemical Dependency Centre, and Clouds. Sarah, Duchess of York was previously Patron of the Chemical Dependency Centre (?-?).

Family Action is a UK based charity that works directly with vulnerable or disadvantaged children and families. The charity's work issues dealing with issues relating to financial hardship, mental health and emotional wellbeing, social isolation, parenting challenges, domestic abuse, and substance misuse. The charity's supporting local organizations and professionals across the UK thought grants, training and consultancy services.

Place2Be

Patron of the Art Room (Janurary 2012 - January 2018)

Place2Be is a charity that works to improve the mental health and emotional well-being of children. They currently support over 200 schools nationwide. Place2Be provides schools with trained counselors and therapist to work with children, parents, teacher and other school staff. 

The charity also provides art therapy for children 5 to 16-year-olds with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Place2Be runs 8 Art Rooms in Oxfordshire, London, and Edinburgh. Place2Be's art rooms were originally run by a separate charity, the Art Room.

Place2Be and the Art Room merged in January 2018. Before that Kate was patron of the two separate charities (Art Room since January 2012 and Place2Be since April 2013). 

Anne Freud Centre

The Anne Freud Centre is a UK children's mental health charity. They offer a wide range of services (therapy, support, training) to children, families, and schools. 

They also provide training for mental health professionals and carries out research.

Action for Children is a charity that supports vulnerable and neglected children and young people, and their families, throughout the UK. They help with family support, foster care, adoption, child neglect, and disability respite therapy.

Previous called the National Children's home, the charity was founded in 1868 as a home for London's street children. 

Queen Elizabeth II was patron (?-2016). 

The Scout

The Scouts is the largest Scouting organization in the United Kingdom and is the UK's recognized member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. The association has various youth programs for people aged between 6 and 25. And works to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

The association was previously called the Boy Scouts Association. When it was founded in 1910, only boys age 11 t0 18 were able to participate. It has since expanded its age requirements and allows in girls. 

Duchess Kate is Joint President with the Duke of Kent (1975-Present) (Joint President with Duchess Kate starting in 2020).

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH)

EACH was one of Kate's first patronages. The charity provides care and support (both physical, emotional, social & spiritual) for children with life-threatening conditions in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk. It also provides support & relief for their families. EACH currently has three hospices in Ipswich (The Treehouse), Milton (Cambridge) and Norfolk (Nook).

Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is a professional association founded in 1929 for people working in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.  The association includes both people with and without degrees in medicine. The association was granted it's royal charter in 1947.

Nursing Now Campaign

Nursing Now is a 3-year international campaign to raising the profile and status of nursing worldwide. The campaign was officially launched in February 2018 by Duchess Kate. 

The campaign was created as a result of the 2016 Triple Impact report. The report found that empowering nurses would help to improve health globally, gender equality and build stronger economies. The Campain is being run by the Burdett Trust for Nursing, in collaboration with the International Council of Nurses and the World Health Organization.

Evelina London Children’s Hospital

Evelina London Children’s Hospital is a London hospital for children and young people. It is a part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. They provide comprehensive health services from before birth, throughout childhood and into adult life. They provide an extensive range of specialist services for children with rare and complex conditions from across south London, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

Foundling Museum

 The Foundling Museum tells the history of the Foundling Hospital, a children's home founded in 1734 for the "education and maintenance of exposed and deserted young children." The Foundling Hospital was the UK's 1st children's charity. The charity still exists today in a new location under the name Thomas Coram Foundation for Children. 

The museum works with contemporary artists, writers, and musicians to develop learning programs that are meaningful for young people.

The National Portrait Gallery was one of Kate's first patronages. The National Portrait Gallery holds the most extensive collection of portraits in the world. Kate's work as patron is to support the Gallery as well as to promote an appreciation of portraiture and support the organization's education and outreach programs.

Victoria & Albert Museum

The Victoria & Albert Museum (The V&A) is one of the world’s largest museum of decorative arts and design. It houses a permanent collection of over 2.3 million objects and includes many different mediums: architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, jewelry, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance. The Museum is free to the public and open 7 days a week.  

The V&A got its start in 1951 when Prince Albert created "The Great Exhibition," the first-ever international exhibition of manufactured products. Profits from this exhibition were used to create a new museum in London. The Museum was called the Museum of Manufactures and was located in Marlborough House, then a royal residence. The Museum soon outgrew Marlborough House. When it moved to its current site in South Kensington, it was renamed the South Kensington Museum.

In 1899, Queen Victoria laid the cornerstone of the new Aston Webb building of the museum. In honor of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert's years of support, the museum was renamed The Victoria & Albert Museum. This was Queen Victoria's last official public appearance before her death.

Order of Garter

The Order of Garter is the UK's highest honors and is personally given by the King. The order is limited to 24 members, plus the Monarch, members of the British Royal Family and Foreign Monarchs.

The Order of Garter service is held each year on either the 1st or 2nd Monday after Trooping the Colours. The service is attended by all the British members of the order (if they are able) and their spouses. We only see extended family when a person is being invested.

New Members are usually announced on St. George's Day (usually April 25th). Members are then invested twice by the Monarch. Once in a private audience and again in during the Chapter Meeting before the Order of Garter Service. 

Foreign Monarchs usually only attend when they are invested and on extra special years, like the Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee.

Royal Ascot Carriage Procession - 2019

During Royal Ascot, the Queen rides in the carriage procession each day, with other members of the Royal Family and special guests. There are usually 4 carriages, each with 4 people. The Queen always rides in the 1st carriage. The Carriage Procession begins at 2:00 PM. (Not every royal in attendance rides in the carriage procession.)
