- Church bells ring for 15 minutes
- Flags lowered to half mass
- National Period of morning begins
- A wreath was placed on his stall at St George’s Chapel, at Windsor Castle.
- Grand Duke Jean's banner & coat of arms will be removed as well. The coat of arms will be returned to the College of Arms. & The banner will be kept till Memorial Evensong service.
