The Earthshot Prize is an annual award for solutions to climate change and environmental issues. The Prize was founded by Prince William in 2020. Originally it was under the Royal Foundation, but it became it's own independent charity in early 2022.

The Earthshot Prize was first awarded in 2021 and is planned to run annually until 2030. There are 15 finalists each year, with 5 winners. All finalists are given tailored support and opportunities to help develop and accelerate their work. Each winner receives a grant of £1 million to continue their environmental work.
